Activites

Since formally obtaining 501 C 3 non-profit public charity status in April 2005, the Asia Adams Save OUR Children foundation has supported more than 5000 children, teens and college students. We are also registered with the Bureau of Charitable Organizations in Harrisburg. We’ve provided the following services:

• Love Speak for ME: Teen Dating Violence (TDV) community prevention and education project (began weekly 2005)
  
  
• “Money-Power-Respect” Research project partnership University of Pennsylvania- Nursing School (began 2010)
  
  
• Youth Leadership Team (YLT) Research project (began 2010)
  
  
• Annual West Chester University Conference and Scholarship award (began 2006)
  
  
• Annual “Girls Just Wanna have FUN : Healthy & Safe” summit (began 2006)
  
  
• “Steps to a Healthier ME” Obesity Prevention- Physical activity and nutrition project (began 2006)
  
  
• Other: Educational Outreach, Staff Training, Speaking Engagements(College-High-Middle School), Girls Mentoring, Anger Management workshops, curriculum development, Advocacy/Policy/Recommendations: Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR)- Child Homicide Review- Child Welfare Review board- Chair Public Health Center NW- Youth Tobacco reduction project- work on legislative bills (ongoing)
  
  
• Collaborations include: Faith Based - Germantown Clergy Initiative (GCI); Mayors Office of Faith Based initiatives; Enon Tabernacle Baptist; 1st Presbyterian Church- Other Prevention programs including Philadelphia Police - Child Welfare- Health; area Universities including West Chester University, University of Pennsylvania, Lincoln University, area High & Middle Schools and other community based organizations to build their capacity
